We will be holding the new UJNR meeting in Nakatsu-City Oita Pref. on 
November 7 - 8, 2008.
We would like to invite you for participating there. We are looking 
forward to having your presence there in Nakatsu-City.
Nakatsu is the Northern area of Oita Prefecture and prospered as a 
castle town in the Edo period. Nakatsu lays claim to having produced 
many people that have had an effect on the modernization of Japan namely 
Dr.Ryotaku Maeno who translated Tafel Anatomie in1774, Masataka 
Okudaira who was the lord of the Nakatsu clan that encouraged Dutch 
learning and published the R/angoyakusen/;Japanese−Dutch Dictionary in 
1810 and /Nakatsu Bustard Dictionary/ ;Dutch−Japanese Dictionary in 
1822,Yukichi Fukuzawa who founded Keio university in 1858 and Sunao 
Tawara who discovered the heart stimulus conductive system in 1906.

/Yabakei/, a suburb of Nakatsu,is famous for autumn leaves and 
naturally straight stone pillars. There are many tourist attractions 
around there.
After the meeting,the following day we will have an additional study 
tour as follows; 
We shall enjoy Nakatsu castle, museum, autumn leaves and the geothermal 
power plant and we shall stay at a Hotel in Kokonoe where you can see 
Mt.Asos magnificent view from the hot spa. 
You will be taken to Kumamoto airport from there the next morning.
